TAMEN SIMUL #2
curated by Francesco Zanot

The exhibition presents a body of photographic works where reality, abstraction, and imagination coexist. The title Tamen Simul, derived from Latin, suggests the idea of “being together at the same time,” both in spatial and temporal terms. The display unfolds as an immersive environment in which different timeframes and spaces overlap, offering viewers a possible reading within an open field of infinite interpretations.

In Valsecchi’s work, scientific observation, cinematic atmospheres, and dreamlike visions merge into a distinctive visual language. His images appear simultaneously as documents and suspended visions, creating enigmatic environments that invite intense perceptual focus.

Rather than constructing a linear narrative, the artist presents a constellation of autonomous photographs that encourage viewers to slow down and engage in an immersive visual experience. Moving through industrial spaces, technical environments, and natural landscapes, the exhibition gradually dissolves traditional photographic categories, revealing a unified and deeply atmospheric visual universe.

Without relying on digital manipulation or generative technologies, Valsecchi uses the camera as a device capable of opening onto possible worlds, questioning scale, perspective, and the very notion of visual truth.
